• App Usage & Features: Information related to classes, merged lectures, marketplace posts, ride-sharing coordination (destinations, time, gender preferences), and reported class cancellations.
• Device Information: Standard diagnostic data, network interface state, and push notification tokens to deliver timely cancellation alerts and messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to operate, support, and enhance the features of the app:

• To build, merge, and display your personalized academic timetable.
• To notify you about class cancellations reported by fellow students in your faculty.
• To facilitate marketplace transactions and group ride-sharing coordination.
• To manage our internal points and reward system fairly.
• To debug technical problems, address crash reports, and maintain app stability.

3. Sharing and Visibility of Data

Because Fix My Semester is a collaborative app for university students, certain information is shared with other users:

• Public Posts: Any marketplace listings, class cancellation reports, or ride-share offers you post will be visible to other students in your faculty.
• Third-Party Providers: We use secure, industry-standard backend and hosting infrastructure (like Supabase) to securely host data. We never sell, lease, or rent your personal information to third-party advertisers.

4. Data Control and Deletion

We believe in giving you complete control over your personal data:

• You can update your academic profile, timetable selections, and notification preferences at any time in the app settings.
• Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time directly through the Settings menu inside the app. Once deleted, your personal profile, credentials, and credentials-associated data will be permanently removed from our active database.

5. Security

We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no database transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended strictly for university/college students. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately to have it deleted.
